MOIRA Technical workshop at INSA Lyon
The H2020 MOIRA Project conducted its 2nd Technical Workshop at Lyon, France, from October 12, 2022, to October 14, 2022. The workshop began with a warm welcome and lunch at noon on the first day, setting a collaborative tone for the event. The afternoon was dedicated to presentations by Early-Stage Researchers (ESRs), each allotted 15 minutes for presentation and an additional 5 minutes for Q&A. This session was split into two parts, allowing for a thorough exchange of ideas and feedback.
Day 2 of the workshop focused on a training school centered around “Probabilistic approaches to inverse problems,” providing in-depth knowledge on statistical methods and their applications. The morning session featured Clément Marteau, who provided an “Introduction to statistical inverse problems.” After a short break, the session continued with Sébastien Bourguignon, who presented, although his title was yet to be confirmed at that time.
The afternoon session resumed with Mathieu Aucejo discussing “Force reconstruction: A Bayesian perspective,” which included a lecture followed by a tutorial. The day’s sessions concluded with Jérôme Antoni’s presentation on “Applications to acoustics.” The evening featured a dinner in a restaurant renowned for its classic French cuisine and high gastronomy, offering a memorable culinary experience in Lyon.
On the final day, October 14, 2022, the workshop concluded with a General Assembly/Steering Board (GA/SB) meeting, where key discussions and decisions regarding the project were made. The workshop provided an enriching experience for all participants, fostering valuable discussions and enhancing their understanding of advanced probabilistic methods in maintenance and inverse problems.
